At present, the Research Laboratory of Service Computing and Big Data Technique includes three research groups--Context-Awareness Service, Big Data Technique and Cyber Space Security, involving research orientations like Software Service Engineering, Cloud Computing and Service Computing, Big Data Technique and Application, Big Data and Cloud Security, Information Security and Software Support, Dependable Computing and System Software Security, etc. The research center now has 15 teachers, 50-odd PhD and postgraduates; 6 PhD and 90-odd postgraduates have graduated from here. The research laboratory undertakes 20 ongoing projects, including 8 national and provincial projects funded by National Natural Sciences Foundation, National 863 Plan, and Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education, as well as 10-odd projects cooperated with enterprises like IBM, Inter, Siemens, VMWare, and Delta Electronics, etc. The research laboratory has undertaken and completed more than 50 projects, including 25 national and provincial projects funded by National Natural Sciences Foundation, National 863 Plan, National Sci-tech Support Plan, and National Sci-tech Major Special Project, as well as nearly 30 research projects cooperated with enterprises.

The research laboratory has issued more than 100 academic papers, applied for more than 30 patents, registered more than 20 software copyrights, among which there are more than 20 papers classified as CCF A/B/C and more than 40 first-grade domestic journal articles. Representative key techniques and systematic research achievements includes: Genie Context-awareness Service Middleware, Chang’e Dependable Data Platform, PsyCloud Mental Health Service Platform, @Home Digital Family Service Platform, Android Security Reinforce Module, and Cloud Storage Security Reinforce Module, etc.

The research laboratory ties close research and cooperative relationship with related research institute of Columbia University, Pennsylvania State University, Oxford University, Copenhagen University of Science and Technology, Stockholm University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, Chinese People’s Public Security University as well as Software Institute and Information Engineering Institute of Chinese Academy of Science, IBM, Microsoft, Intel, Siemens, Tencent, Huawei, Qihoo360 and Delta Electronics, etc.
